About the role

This is a strategic leadership position that combines engineering management expertise with membership operations oversight. As Membership Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our membership programme, ensuring operational efficiency, member satisfaction, and revenue growth. This role is integral to the success of our organisation and will have a significant impact on our strategic objectives and member engagement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive membership strategies aligned with organisational goals and market opportunities
• Lead and manage the membership operations team, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance management to ensure high standards of service delivery
• Oversee member acquisition, retention, and engagement programmes to drive growth and maximise lifetime value
• Monitor and analyse membership metrics, trends, and performance indicators to inform decision-making and optimise processes
• Manage membership budgets and financial planning to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability
• Develop and maintain member communication strategies and engagement initiatives across multiple channels
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and marketing to enhance membership value propositions
• Identify and implement operational improvements and technological solutions to streamline membership management
• Build and nurture relationships with key members, stakeholders, and partners to support business growth
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organisational policies in all membership operations

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations, or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in membership management, operations management, or a related leadership role
• Proven experience leading and managing teams within an engineering or technology-driven environment
• Strong understanding of membership business models, member lifecycle management, and customer retention strategies
• Demonstrated expertise in process optimisation, data analysis, and performance metrics management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels
• Strategic thinking capability with strong project management and problem-solving skills
• Experience with CRM systems, membership management software, and business analytics tools
• Knowledge of operational efficiency principles and lean management methodologies is advantageous
• Understanding of Hong Kong business environment and member engagement practices is beneficial
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
