Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and engaging Memory Care Coordinator to join our team. Duties

• Develop and implement engaging, personalized activities tailored to residents' interests and cognitive abilities within the memory care setting.
• Facilitate daily resident engagement to promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with care staff to understand individual resident needs and preferences, ensuring activities are appropriate and inclusive.
• Create a warm, welcoming environment that encourages participation and fosters a sense of community among residents.
• Monitor and document residents' responses to activities, adjusting approaches as necessary to maximize engagement and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with family members and external partners to incorporate resident preferences into activity planning.
• Maintain a safe environment during activities, adhering to safety protocols and best practices for working with individuals with memory impairments.
• Promote a positive atmosphere that supports dignity, respect, and independence for all residents.

Requirements

• Prior experience in resident engagement, activity coordination, or related roles within senior living or memory care environments is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect empathetically with residents experiencing memory challenges.
• Creative mindset with the ability to design engaging activities suited for individuals with cognitive impairments.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, and families.
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents in memory care settings.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail in documenting resident participation and progress.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in activity coordination or dementia care are advantageous.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
