Memory Care Specialist (per diem)

Per Diem Contract Clinician

Music Therapist, Art Therapist, Recreation Therapist, or Social Worker

Inspired Memory Care is seeking a clinician for a flexible, per diem contract position in New York City. You’ll provide personalized one-to-one engagement sessions with private clients in their homes and facilitate small-group engagement programs with our partner organizations.

Our work centers on meaningful connection, creativity, and supporting the quality of life of people experiencing cognitive change.

Location and schedule

This is an in-person position based primarily in Manhattan, with travel to other boroughs as needed. It is not a relocation position. Client visits take place Monday through Friday, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Scheduling is flexible, but consistency matters. Clinicians typically see the same client each week at an agreed-upon time, such as Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. or Thursdays at 1:00 p.m.

Hours and compensation

Hours vary based on referrals from clients and partner organizations. The position typically begins at one to two hours per week, with the potential for additional hours as referrals grow.

Compensation is $50 to $75 per hour , based on experience, role alignment, and contracting structure.

• Has experience in dementia care and uses a strengths-based approach
• Is comfortable working independently and takes initiative
• Brings creativity and resourcefulness to engagement
• Can provide one-to-one and small-group programming

This is not a geriatric care management position. The focus is specifically on one-to-one and small-group engagement with people living with cognitive change.
