This is a hands-on, people-focused role where no two days are the same. Whether you’re helping someone establish a daily routine, supporting them to attend an appointment, or encouraging them to take a positive step towards their goals, your work will have purpose. Understanding our participants
Bright Light Mentoring is a mental health service.

- Observe and report changes in participants’ needs, presentation, or wellbeing, promptly raising concerns with your supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records, including progress notes and participant documentation, in line with Brightlight Mentoring’s policies.
- Prioritise safety, following safeguarding, infection control, and other relevant procedures.
What you’ll bringYou’ll be compassionate, reliable, and genuinely interested in supporting people experiencing mental health challenges. You’ll also have:
- An understanding of mental health and the challenges participants may experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build rapport while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to changing needs and circumstances.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
