MEP Construction Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Construction Engineer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The candidate will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and supervising MEP construction activities, ensuring that all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

The role involves coordinating HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other building services across construction projects, including villas, residential, commercial, and high-rise buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily MEP construction activities on site.
• Manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and related MEP works.
• Review and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documents.
• Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing teams.
• Supervise MEP subcontractors, technicians, and site workers.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, productivity, and work progress.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure proper quality and workmanship.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, MEP clashes, and site coordination problems.
• Review material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project management teams.
• Monitor testing, commissioning, inspection, snagging, rectification, and handover of MEP systems.
• Prepare daily and weekly MEP progress reports.
• Assist with material planning, procurement requirements, and manpower allocation.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, HSE requirements, and applicable Bahrain regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of relevant MEP construction experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in building construction projects.
• Experience with villas, residential buildings, commercial projects, or high-rise buildings is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and site teams.
• Good knowledge of construction site execution and MEP coordination.
• Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Bahrain/GCC construction experience is preferred.
• Must be locally available in Bahrain.
• Immediate joiner preferred.

Preferred Skills

• AutoCAD / Revit / BIM knowledge is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Bahrain construction standards and safety requirements.
• Strong site management and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
