MEP Construction Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Construction Manager to lead and manage the execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works across our construction projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overall site execution, coordination, productivity, quality, safety, subcontractor management, manpower planning, and timely completion of MEP works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise complete MEP construction activities from mobilization through testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Lead Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and associated MEP site activities.
• Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved IFC/shop drawings, method statements, specifications, authority requirements, and project standards.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Consultants, Main Contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal engineering teams.
• Prepare and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly construction plans.
• Monitor project progress against the approved baseline programme and take corrective actions where delays are identified.
• Plan manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor requirements based on project priorities.
• Ensure timely availability of approved drawings, materials, technical submittals, and work fronts.
• Review construction sequences and resolve site coordination and technical issues.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, workmanship, and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, MIRs, WIRs, testing, snagging, and closing of observations.
• Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements and maintain safe working practices across MEP activities.
• Participate in progress meetings, coordination meetings, technical meetings, and client/consultant meetings.
• Monitor material wastage, labour productivity, and construction costs.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, authority inspections, snag clearance, and final handover.
• Ensure proper preparation of as-built drawings, O&M documentation, and project close-out requirements.
• Provide regular progress reports and highlight risks, delays, resource shortages, and critical issues to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of MEP construction experience, preferably within the UAE/GCC.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Construction Manager / MEP Construction Manager position.
• Strong experience in large-scale building construction and MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, Electrical, ELV, and associated MEP systems.
• Excellent understanding of construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
• Strong experience in manpower planning, subcontractor management, site coordination, and construction productivity.
• Good understanding of UAE construction practices and relevant authority requirements.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and site management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction/project management applications.

Preferred Candidate

• Currently available in the UAE.
• Previous experience with an established MEP contracting company.
• Proven experience managing multiple MEP disciplines and large site teams.
• Strong exposure to fast-track construction projects.
• UAE driving licence will be an advantage.

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
