MEP Construction Manager

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager – MEP with a strong background in managing and supervising MEP construction activities for building projects. The successful candidate will oversee site execution, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, monitor project progress, and ensure that all MEP works are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise all site-based MEP construction activities, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate daily MEP site operations to ensure smooth execution of works.
• Ensure MEP installations comply with approved shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing teams to avoid clashes and construction delays.
• Review construction drawings and coordinate with the engineering team to resolve technical discrepancies and site-related issues.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and ensure timely completion of planned activities.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, MEP Engineers, Site Engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials according to site requirements and project priorities.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, workmanship, and compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability and delivery of MEP materials and equipment.
• Work closely with QA/QC teams to ensure inspections, testing, and approvals are completed as required.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, safe working procedures, and applicable UAE regulations.
• Attend site coordination meetings and provide regular progress updates to project management.
• Identify construction constraints, delays, and resource shortages and implement corrective measures.
• Monitor installation quality and ensure that defects and non-conformities are rectified promptly.
• Coordinate with consultants and clients for inspections, approvals, and resolution of technical issues.
• Supervise MEP testing, commissioning, pre-commissioning, and system handover activities.
• Ensure proper preparation of as-built drawings, inspection records, testing reports, and handover documentation.
• Support project management in monitoring productivity, resource utilization, and construction costs.
• Lead and guide MEP engineers, supervisors, foremen, and site personnel to achieve project targets.

Required qualifications and years of experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in MEP construction, including substantial experience in site and construction management.
• Proven experience as a Construction Manager – MEP or in a similar senior MEP site management position.
• Experience with building construction or contracting companies is required.
• UAE/GCC construction experience is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other building services.
• Good understanding of MEP installation methods, construction sequencing, coordinated shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience managing MEP subcontractors, manpower, materials, and site resources.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection requirements, testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
• Good understanding of UAE construction HSE requirements and authority approval procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple work fronts and meet tight project deadlines.
