MEP Coordinator

Role Description The MEP Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities across building projects. This position oversees MEP drawings, shop drawings, and specifications, ensuring alignment with architectural and structural designs and compliance with local codes and standards. The role includes liaising with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues, manage RFIs, and support timely installation and commissioning of building services. The MEP Coordinator monitors progress, assists in planning and scheduling MEP works, participates in coordination meetings, and helps maintain quality, safety, and documentation standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in MEP Coordination to manage and integrate all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works across project disciplines.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including Plumbing, to ensure proper design review, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Candidates should possess experience in Building Services to oversee HVAC, lighting, water supply, drainage, and related systems within commercial and residential projects.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) to support coordinated models, clash detection, and accurate MEP documentation.
• Relevant engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in construction projects within the UAE or GCC region, with familiarity in local regulations and authority requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards, and strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
