MEP Coordinator

About the role

Dong Jian (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented MEP Coordinator to join our dynamic project management team. This is a full-time position based in the Springleaf North Region. As MEP Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across our construction projects, ensuring seamless integration and timely delivery. This position is essential to maintaining project quality standards and ensuring all MEP trades work harmoniously throughout the construction lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and liaise between MEP contractors, suppliers, and the main project team to ensure all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work aligns with project schedules and specifications
• Prepare and maintain MEP coordination drawings and clash detection reports to identify and resolve conflicts before they impact construction
• Monitor MEP installation progress against project timelines and report on milestones, delays, and remedial actions required
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure MEP systems are installed according to design standards and contractual requirements
• Manage MEP-related documentation, including submittals, certificates of compliance, and testing reports
• Attend and contribute to project meetings, providing updates on MEP coordination status and escalating issues as necessary
• Coordinate temporary MEP provisions on site, including power supply, water, and ventilation requirements
• Liaise with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to resolve design and installation challenges
• Support the project manager in budget tracking and cost control for MEP-related work
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout MEP installation activities

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, plumbing, or a related construction/technical discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in MEP coordination or similar roles within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and their integration in building projects
• Proficiency in MEP coordination software and BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar clash detection programmes
• Experience with reading and interpreting MEP drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with contractors, consultants, and project teams
• Knowledge of Singapore construction standards, regulations, and codes of practice
• Attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety compliance
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to proactively identify and address coordination issues
• Preferred experience: Familiarity with major construction projects in Singapore and experience with pre-fabricated MEP systems
