An MEP Coordinator (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Coordinator) acts as the primary bridge between architectural designs, structural engineers, trade subcontractors, and site execution teams. Their central goal is to resolve system clashes, manage BIM models, and ensure smooth installation of building services without budget or schedule overruns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:

• Coordinate MEP activities across site teams, subcontractors, consultants and other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.

• Review and monitor MEP shop drawings, method statements, material submittals and technical submissions for compliance with project requirements.

• Facilitate coordination meetings and site progress meetings with MEP contractors, design consultants and project teams.

• Identify, track and resolve MEP clashes, design issues and site coordination matters with relevant stakeholders.

• Monitor and follow up on MEP installation progress, testing and commissioning activities.

• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, project specifications, safety and environmental requirements.

• Maintain and update MEP coordination records, reports, schedules and project documentation.·

• Support the Project Manager and Construction Manager in achieving MEP-related project milestones and objectives.

• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of MEP materials and equipment.

• Coordinate interfaces between MEP systems and architectural, structural and civil works.

• Provide technical support and guidance to MEP coordinators, engineers and site teams.

• Participate in inspections, testing, commissioning and handover activities .

• Monitor project progress and highlight potential delays, risks and technical issues.

REQUIREMENT:

✅ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or a related field

✅Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in largescale projects, highrise buildings

✅Strong knowledge of MEP systems, drawings, specifications and applicable industry standards.

✅Experience in reading and interpreting MEP drawings and coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces.

✅Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection is an advantage

✅Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills

✅Proficiency in MS Office and relevant project management/BIM software such as Primavera, MS Project, Navisworks, Revit or equivalent tools

✅Ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.

✅Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety .

✅UAE construction experience is an advantage
