MEP Coordinator

About the role

Dong Jian (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis in the Springleaf North Region. This is a pivotal position within our Civil and Structural Engineering operations, where you will play a crucial role in coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across our projects. As MEP Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration and communication between MEP disciplines, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is essential to our project delivery success and offers significant opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across project phases from design through to construction and handover
• Liaise with MEP consultants, contractors, and site teams to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of design and construction issues
• Review and analyse MEP drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to identify clashes, conflicts, or inconsistencies and facilitate solutions
• Conduct 3D clash detection and coordination reviews to optimise system routing and minimise on-site conflicts and rework
• Prepare and maintain MEP coordination reports, schedules, and progress documentation
• Attend and contribute to design coordination meetings, site meetings, and client presentations
• Monitor MEP installation progress on site and ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications
• Support the resolution of MEP-related site issues and variations, liaising with all relevant parties
• Maintain detailed records of all MEP coordination activities, decisions, and correspondence for project documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement of MEP coordination processes and best practices

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or Civil Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in MEP coordination or a related MEP discipline within the construction or engineering industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, standards, and best practices in building services
• Proficiency with MEP coordination and 3D modelling software such as Revit, Navisworks, or equivalent Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools
• Excellent understanding of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to MEP systems in Singapore
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants
• Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with project management software
• Problem-solving capability with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
• Preferred experience with Singapore building and construction standards, BCA guidelines, and local MEP practices
