MEP Coordinator – Villa Construction Projects

Job Purpose

Coordinate and monitor all MEP activities on villa construction projects, ensuring proper execution, coordination with civil/architectural works, and compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP works including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems.
• Coordinate MEP activities with Civil, Architectural, Structural and finishing works.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings, coordinated drawings and MEP layouts.
• Identify and resolve site clashes and technical coordination issues.
• Monitor MEP subcontractors and ensure works are executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and approvals.
• Coordinate material requirements, technical submissions and MEP installations.
• Attend coordination meetings with the project team, consultants and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress and highlight delays, constraints and required corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority requirements, project specifications, HSE and quality standards.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, inspections, RFIs, material approvals and site coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant qualification.
• 8+ years of MEP construction experience, preferably in UAE.
• Strong experience in villa/residential construction projects.
• Experience with a main contractor or MEP contracting company is preferred.
• Good knowledge of MEP coordination, shop drawings and site execution.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with civil and architectural teams.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD; BIM/Revit knowledge is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• UAE/GCC construction experience is manadatory
