MEP Design Assistant Manager - Electrical/Mechanical

Our client is a Japanese construction business. Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Engineering Manager in overseeing and managing MEP engineering activities throughout construction projects.
• Review and coordinate engineering design drawings, technical specifications, calculations, equipment schedules, and related technical documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural engineers, contractors, and internal project teams to resolve design and technical issues.
• Support design development, design review, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical submissions prior to construction.
• Supervise on-site MEP works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project and site teams during construction, testing, and commissioning.
• Monitor project progress, identify technical risks, and provide appropriate engineering solutions.
• Support project handover, including review of as-built drawings and final documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical / Mechanical Design and Construction.
• Experience in building construction projects, preferably large-scale projects.
• Experience in design management, technical coordination, construction supervision, testing, and commissioning.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Professional Engineering License (ใบ กว.) would be an advantage.

Electrical Position

• Strong knowledge of Power Distribution, Lighting, Fire Alarm, ELV, CCTV, Access Control, Communication Systems, and Lightning Protection.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, DIALux, and related engineering software.

Mechanical Position

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Ventilation, Plumbing & Sanitary, Fire Protection, and Utility Systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, BIM, and related engineering software.
