MEP Designer Residential & Commercial

We are looking for an experienced MEP Designer with 47 years of experience in designing building services for residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design 2D/3D MEP layouts using AutoCAD.
• Design electrical power distribution, internal/external lighting and LAN/Data networking.
• Design HVAC and ventilation systems.
• Design plumbing, drainage and water supply systems.
• Design fire detection and fire suppression systems.
• Prepare BOQ and support material planning and estimation.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable safety standards and building codes.
• Coordinate with architects, site engineers and vendors.
• Guide junior draftsmen/site teams during project execution.

Role Objective We are seeking a versatile MEP Designer to lead the design and implementation of essential building systems. You will be responsible for creating integrated solutions for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire safety systems, ensuring they meet both functional requirements and safety standards. Key Responsibilities • System Design: Create comprehensive 2D/3D layouts using AutoCAD for: o Electrical: Power distribution, internal/external lighting, and LAN/Data networking. o Mechanical: HVAC (Air Conditioning) and ventilation systems. o Public Health: Plumbing, drainage, and water supply. o Life Safety: Fire detection and suppression systems. • Planning & Estimation: Develop accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and lead material planning to ensure project cost-efficiency. • Technical Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to local and international electrical safety standards and building codes. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the technical point of contact for architects, site engineers, and vendors. • Mentorship: Provide training and guidance to junior draftsmen or site teams to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
