MEP Draftsman

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled MEP Draftsman to prepare accurate technical drawings and layouts for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The candidate will work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure drawings comply with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings, layouts, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop drawings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, and other MEP systems.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural drawings to avoid clashes.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
• Make revisions to drawings based on engineer, consultant, and site-team comments.
• Prepare detailed sections, elevations, schematics, and installation details.
• Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on site modifications and completed works.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control of all drawings.
• Assist engineers in preparing material take-offs and technical documentation when required.
• Ensure drawings are prepared according to company standards, project specifications, and relevant UAE requirements.
• Attend site visits when required to verify measurements and existing conditions.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve technical and drawing-related issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of MEP systems and construction drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of BIM/Revit is an advantage.
• Good understanding of MEP coordination and clash detection.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Candidate

• UAE experience in MEP contracting or construction projects.
• Experience preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Familiarity with consultant/client approval procedures.
• Immediate joiners or candidates available within a short notice period are preferred.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
