MEP DRAFTSMAN

Department: Technical Office

Location: Al Ain

Reports To: Technical Office Manager / MEP Engineer

Experience: Minimum 4 years

Role Purpose

Prepare accurate and coordinated MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings and as-built drawings that support efficient construction and ensure compliance with project specifications, consultant requirements and UAE authority standards.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting

• Specialized in preparing electrical drawings as per TAQA requirements, with good knowledge of TAQA regulations
• Prepare MEP shop drawings.
• Produce coordination drawings.
• Prepare as-built drawings.
• Update revisions.

Coordination

• Coordinate with Civil, Structural and Architectural teams.
• Identify clashes.
• Support BIM coordination where applicable.

Documentation

• Maintain drawing registers.
• Control revisions.
• Archive project drawings.

Technical Support

• Assist engineers.
• Prepare quantity take-offs.
• Review consultant comments.
