MEP Draftsman - Walk-In Interview

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare MEP shop drawings, coordinated drawings, builders' work drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop detailed installation drawings, schematic diagrams, riser diagrams, and equipment layouts.
• Participate in multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection using Navisworks and BIM platforms.
• Revise drawings based on consultant comments and site requirements.
• Ensure all drawings are issued as per project document control procedures.
• Conduct load calculations for air conditioning, ventilation, power, lighting, water supply, and drainage systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with UAE authority requirements such as Dubai Municipality, DEWA, DCD, and other applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and interior designers during design development.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers for design approvals.
• Attend technical meetings and coordination meetings.
• Support the procurement team with technical submittals and material approvals.
• Review supplier shop drawings and technical data sheets.
• Provide technical solutions for site execution challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in MEP design and drafting.
• Proven experience in high-rise fit-out, commercial tower, luxury residential, hotel, and mixed-use projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards and authority requirements.
• Experience working with both consultant-side and contractor-side project teams.

Preferred Experience

• High-rise tower fit-out projects.
• Design and coordination of MEP services in occupied buildings and fast-track projects.
• Client and consultant-facing experience.
• Experience preparing authority submissions and approvals.

Ideal Candidate: Experienced MEP professional with strong design engineering capability and hands-on drafting expertise, capable of delivering coordinated MEP solutions for high-rise fit-out projects from design development through construction and handover.
