MEP Engineeer

We are currently supporting a specialist project management consultancy in Japan that works across the construction and built environment sector.

We are looking for an experienced MEP Engineer to join their growing team and support the delivery of high-quality projects across Japan . You will be involved in the planning, coordination and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems across a range of projects. Working closely with clients, architects, contractors and other consultants, you will provide technical MEP expertise throughout the project lifecycle and help ensure projects are delivered to the required standards, programme and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide MEP engineering and technical support across projects.
• Review and coordinate MEP designs, drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and specialist consultants.
• Review technical submissions, shop drawings and construction documentation.
• Attend site inspections and monitor MEP installation works.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during project delivery.
• Support testing, commissioning and project handover.
• Ensure MEP works comply with relevant Japanese codes, standards and project requirements.
• Liaise with clients and project stakeholders on MEP-related matters.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline .
• Relevant experience in MEP / building services engineering.
• Experience working within a consultancy, project management consultancy or similar professional services environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of building MEP systems and technical coordination.
• Experience working with contractors, consultants and clients.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Japanese and English proficiency would be highly advantageous.
• Candidates with experience across commercial, workplace, hospitality or other complex building projects are encouraged to apply.
