MEP Engineer

About the role

PT Danayasa Arthatama is seeking a talented and experienced MEP Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a full-time position based in South Jakarta, Jakarta. As an MEP Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, planning, and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for our projects. This position is essential to ensuring that our facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. You will be responsible for translating project requirements into comprehensive technical solutions whilst collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software and BIM tools
• Conduct load calculations, system sizing, and feasibility studies for MEP components
• Coordinate with architects and structural engineers to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within building design
• Review and approve contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material specifications
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks during installation and commissioning phases
• Ensure all designs comply with Indonesian building codes, standards, and environmental regulations
• Prepare cost estimates and project schedules for MEP work packages
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for optimisation and improvements
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in MEP engineering design or project management
• Strong proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar BIM tools
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, heating, cooling, and ventilation
• Expertise in electrical systems design, power distribution, and lighting design
• Understanding of plumbing systems, water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems
• Familiarity with Indonesian building codes, SNI (Standar Nasional Indonesia) standards, and local regulations
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
• Experience with energy efficiency and sustainable building design is preferred
• Valid professional engineering certification or registration is advantageous
