MEP Engineer

About the role

Ruitai Construction (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer (Material & Documentation) to join our team in Chon Buri. As an MEP Engineer (Material & Documentation), you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical and electrical systems for our construction projects, ensuring they are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in the success of our company.

What you'll be doing

• Material Submittals: Responsible for collecting, preparing, compiling, and submitting MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) material and equipment approval documents (Material Approval / Submittal).
• Follow-up & Revision: Closely monitor the review progress and feedback from the Project Consultant. In cases of rejection or comments, promptly revise, supplement, and consolidate the MEP technical data for resubmission as quickly as possible.
• Technical Review: Study and analyze construction shop drawings, project technical specifications, and relevant MEP engineering standards to ensure that all submitted materials comply strictly with the owner’s and consultant’s requirements.
• Site Inspection & Coordination: Conduct on-site inspections to verify material specifications and physical delivery status; coordinate material sampling, testing, and acceptance at the site.
• Procurement Support: Assist in the preparation and management of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and MEP material procurement plans, ensuring alignment with the material approval schedule.
• Meeting & Communication: Attend project meetings and serve as an effective liaison, coordinating between the project owner, consultant, construction supervisors, and subcontractors. Other Duties: Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisors.

What we're looking for

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Building Services), or a related field.

• License: Possession of a Professional Engineering License.

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in site operations, technical tendering, or documentation related to Building MEP engineering. Candidates with direct, end-to-end experience in the Material Submission process will be given special consideration.

• Technical Knowledge: Sound understanding of the fundamental properties and specifications of materials used in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.

• Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project, and other relevant engineering software.

• Attributes: High attention to detail, integrity, precision in documentation management, and the ability to perform well under pressure. Interpersonal

• Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills with a proactive attitude; capable of multitasking and delivering a fast response to consultant feedback.

• Professional Skills / Key Tags: Material Approval / Submittal (Core Skill), Consultant Communication (Core Skill), Document Control & Revision, Site Inspection for Materials and Shop Drawing Reading

• Language: Proficiency in English or Chinese will be given special consideration.
