MEP Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced MEP Engineer to oversee and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for designing, reviewing, supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the proper installation and operation of MEP systems in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and local authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) designs and drawings.
• Supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of MEP systems.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Ensure all MEP works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to MEP works on site.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, material approvals, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of MEP activities.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with local authorities and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and documentation.
• Monitor material requirements and coordinate procurement to avoid project delays.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support to the project team.
• Ensure proper testing and commissioning of all MEP systems before project handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an MEP Engineer in construction or building projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Knowledge of local authority requirements and construction regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
• Experience in the UAE/GCC construction industry is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of HVAC systems and calculations.
• Experience with testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Familiarity with project management and planning.
• Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards.

Pay: Up to AED3,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
