MEP Engineer

MEP Engineer –

The MEP Engineer will be responsible for installation, operation, and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems across hostel properties. The role ensures smooth functioning of utilities such as STP, WTP, electrical systems, plumbing networks, HVAC, fire systems, and other infrastructure to maintain safety, efficiency, and uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee day-to-day operation and maintenance of all Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical systems.

· Ensure smooth functioning of STP, WTP, Pumps, and water distribution systems.

· Maintain electrical panels, DBs, lighting systems, and power distribution networks.

· Monitor DG operations and ensure proper logging of fuel usage and running hours.

· Ensure preventive maintenance of HVAC systems, exhaust systems, and ventilation.

· Coordinate installation and commissioning of MEP systems during new property activation.

· Ensure proper maintenance of fire safety systems and emergency equipment.

· Monitor plumbing systems including flushing lines, overhead tanks, and drainage systems.

· Conduct routine inspections and resolve technical issues in rooms and common areas.

· Ensure electrical points, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and utility requirements are installed as per operational needs.

· Maintain logbooks for STP, electrical panels, pump operations, and maintenance schedules.

· Coordinate with external vendors for technical services and repairs.

· Ensure compliance with safety norms and local statutory requirements.

· Support energy-saving initiatives and cost optimization of utilities.

· Maintain inventory of MEP spare parts and tools.

· Supervise technicians and plumbers for daily maintenance work.

· Assist in planning upgrades, repairs, and infrastructure improvements.

Project & Operational Support

· Support new hostel activations and setup of MEP infrastructure.

· Coordinate with civil, IT, and operations teams for technical feasibility.

· Ensure timely completion of wiring, plumbing, and utility installations.

· Assist in vendor evaluation and technical decision-making.

Documentation & Reporting

· Maintain preventive maintenance schedules.

· Submit daily and monthly maintenance reports.

· Maintain utility consumption records.

· Track breakdowns and corrective actions.

Required Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering.

· Minimum 2–5 years of experience in facility or hostel operations.

· Knowledge of STP, electrical systems, plumbing, and DG operations.

· Basic knowledge of Excell, google sheet is preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
