MEP Engineer

Job Title: MEP Engineer for Civil contracting works

Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MEP Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the UAE construction industry to supervise and coordinate MEP works at project sites. The candidate must have strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems, along with experience in load schedule calculations, material procurement, site coordination, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all MEP works, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications.
• Prepare and calculate electrical load schedules and coordinate load requirements with the relevant teams.
• Identify site material requirements, prepare material requisitions, and coordinate the procurement of MEP materials.
• Coordinate MEP activities with civil, architectural, and other project teams to avoid clashes and delays.
• Monitor site progress and ensure all works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities for inspections and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, Dubai Municipality requirements, DEWA standards, Civil Defence requirements, and other applicable authority regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure proper installation and quality control of MEP systems.
• Prepare daily progress reports, inspection requests, material requests, and other project documentation.
• Identify technical issues and resolve site coordination problems efficiently.
• Monitor material availability, manpower allocation, and subcontractor performance.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
• Supervise testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover of MEP systems.
• Ensure compliance with project safety procedures and approved method statements.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in MEP works within the construction industry.
• UAE construction industry experience is preferred.
• A valid UAE driving licence is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Experience in electrical load schedule calculations, material take-offs, material requisitions, and site material procurement.

Pay: AED2,600.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
