MEP Engineer

About the role

China Construction First Group Corporation Limited is seeking a talented MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer to join our team in West Cikarang, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the design, planning, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for our construction projects. As an MEP Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all building systems are designed efficiently, comply with relevant standards, and are delivered on time and within budget. This role is essential to our project success and offers the opportunity to work on significant infrastructure and construction developments in a dynamic, growing region.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for construction projects in accordance with project specifications and building codes
• Prepare detailed MEP drawings, plans, and technical specifications using CAD software and other design tools
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify requirements for MEP installations
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of all building systems
• Perform calculations and analysis to optimise system performance, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
• Monitor MEP installations on-site to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to resolve design or installation challenges
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure all records are kept up to date
• Liaise with equipment suppliers and contractors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials
• Prepare cost estimates and technical reports as required by project management

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in MEP design and engineering within the construction or building services industry
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and BIM (Building Information Modelling) tools
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), fire protection, and plumbing systems
• Expertise in electrical systems design, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems
• Familiarity with Indonesian building codes, standards, and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Fluency in English and Indonesian languages is highly desirable
• Professional engineering certifications or memberships are advantageous
