Job Summary

Capital Engineering Consultancy LLC is seeking an experienced MEP Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in engineering consultancy and building projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical design review, technical coordination, site inspections, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards, authority requirements, and project specifications.

The ideal candidate should have sound technical knowledge of building mechanical systems, experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and the ability to manage design and site-related activities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate mechanical engineering designs for building projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, and authority regulations.
• Review mechanical drawings, technical specifications, calculations, material submittals, and method statements.
• Monitor and inspect mechanical installations, including HVAC, ventilation, chilled water systems, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems, as applicable to the project.
• Ensure that mechanical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and other MEP disciplines to resolve design and site-related clashes.
• Attend site inspections and review inspection requests to verify the quality and compliance of mechanical installations.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, technical queries, and as-built drawings.
• Identify technical discrepancies, non-conformities, and potential construction issues, and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Liaise with contractors, clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project progress.
• Monitor contractor submissions and site activities to ensure compliance with approved project documentation.
• Prepare site inspection reports, technical observations, and other project-related documentation.
• Support testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems and verify compliance with approved project requirements.
• Ensure adherence to relevant UAE authority regulations, applicable international standards, health and safety requirements, and quality procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in MEP mechanical engineering within an engineering consultancy.
• Proven experience working on building projects, preferably in the UAE.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, and other building mechanical systems.
• Experience in mechanical design review, site supervision, inspection, and coordination activities.
• Familiarity with mechanical drawings, technical submittals, specifications, and project documentation.
• Knowledge of relevant UAE authority requirements and applicable international codes and standards.
• Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software.
• Ability to identify design clashes and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and project deadlines.
