MEP Engineer - Site Execution

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on MEP Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction site execution and handling.

The candidate should be willing to actively work at the site, personally monitor and execute MEP activities, coordinate with workmen and contractors, troubleshoot site issues, and ensure that the work is completed as per drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

This is a site-based execution role, and candidates with strong practical field experience will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Take hands-on responsibility for MEP site execution activities.
• Personally monitor and ensure the proper execution of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing works at the site.
• Work closely with technicians, supervisors, electricians, plumbers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Check actual site conditions and ensure MEP works are executed correctly as per approved drawings.
• Read and interpret MEP drawings, layouts, and specifications and implement the same at site.
• Carry out regular site measurements, inspections, and quality checks.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day technical and execution issues at the site.
• Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, finishing, and other site activities.
• Ensure proper installation, alignment, routing, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Monitor manpower and guide workmen during execution.
• Check the quality of materials and workmanship used at site.
• Coordinate material requirements and ensure timely availability of materials for execution.
• Monitor daily work progress and ensure activities are completed within the project schedule.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, architects, and project teams whenever required.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress updates and report site issues to the Project Manager.
• Ensure MEP works comply with project specifications, safety requirements, and applicable standards.
• Support testing, commissioning, snag rectification, and final handover of MEP works.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in MEP construction and site execution.
• Must have strong hands-on experience working at construction sites.
• Candidates who have personally handled and executed MEP works at site will be preferred.
• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering or related field.
• Good practical knowledge of MEP installation and construction practices.
• Ability to read and understand MEP drawings and coordinate their execution at site.
• Experience in handling technicians, workmen, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work extensively at the project site.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Candidates with experience in residential, commercial, apartment, villa, or building construction projects will be preferred.

Important Requirement

This is not a desk-based or purely supervisory position. The candidate must be willing to work hands-on at the construction site and actively participate in MEP execution activities.
