Job Overview

Brookfield Design & Estimating Services is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented MEP Engineer with experience in U.S.-based construction projects. The successful candidate will support mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design, coordination, and technical documentation for construction projects in the United States.

The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge of U.S. building codes, proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD, and the ability to coordinate MEP systems across different project disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings for U.S.-based construction projects.
• Prepare and update MEP layouts, technical drawings, and construction documentation.
• Use Revit MEP and AutoCAD to produce accurate drawings and models.
• Coordinate MEP systems with architectural and structural drawings.
• Identify and help resolve design clashes and coordination issues.
• Apply relevant U.S. codes and standards, including IMC, IPC, NEC, and NFPA, as applicable to the project.
• Review drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience working on U.S.-based MEP construction projects is required.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Understanding of BIM coordination and multidisciplinary drawing coordination.
• Familiarity with IMC, IPC, NEC, NFPA, and applicable U.S. building codes.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to work the assigned night shift aligned with U.S. business hours.

Preferred Experience

Experience with commercial, residential, or institutional construction projects in the United States is preferred.
