Job title: MEP Inspector
Location: Randall's Island, NY
Compensation Range: $50-55/hour, depending on experience.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced MEP Inspector to support one of the Hospital construction projects on Randall’s Island, NY. Infinite Consulting Corp is supporting our client for the project. This is a full-time, project-based opportunity for the duration of the assigned project scope.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications.
• Inspect all materials upon arrival at the job site to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Review construction plans to identify potential violations.
• Document inspections and report any identified issues.
• Assess the quality of materials used throughout the testing process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is a plus.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in building construction trades, with a focus on MEP systems.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Inspector, including inspection of site/civil work, is required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
• Proficiency in web-based submittal collaboration systems.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling to support the project team.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and procedures.
• Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple team members.
• Ability to safely navigate and maneuver around an active construction site.
