MEP Inspector (DM Project)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Inspector to join our consultancy supervision team for a major Dubai Municipality infrastructure project in Dubai, UAE . The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring MEP works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, authority requirements, and applicable UAE standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections of MEP installations and verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Inspect electrical, mechanical, plumbing, drainage, HVAC, firefighting, and associated MEP infrastructure works.
• Review approved shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests.
• Monitor contractor activities and ensure works are executed in accordance with project requirements and approved standards.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, utilities, and other disciplines to identify and resolve MEP interface issues.
• Verify materials delivered to site against approved material submittals and project specifications.
• Raise and follow up on inspection observations, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions where required.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities and review relevant test reports and documentation.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, site reports, checklists, and other project documentation.
• Monitor progress and quality of MEP works and report significant issues to the Resident Engineer/MEP Engineer.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Dubai Municipality requirements, UAE regulations, and applicable authority standards .
• Participate in coordination meetings, site meetings, and technical discussions with contractors and project stakeholders.
• Support the project team in ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion of MEP works.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related MEP discipline .
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in MEP inspection and site supervision.
• Previous experience in infrastructure projects in Dubai/UAE is required.
• Experience working with a consultant/consultancy supervision team is preferred.
• Experience with Dubai Municipality projects or similar government infrastructure projects will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of MEP installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning procedures.
• Good understanding of approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and QA/QC procedures.
• Familiarity with relevant UAE authority requirements and standards .
