Job Description – MEP Manager (Railway Station Projects)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced MEP Manager with 7–10 years of expertise in execution, coordination, and management of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for railway station or large infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, testing & commissioning, and coordination of all MEP activities to ensure timely project delivery in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution & Coordination

• ∙ Manage end-to-end MEP execution activities for railway station projects.
• ∙ Coordinate with civil, architectural, signaling, telecom, and track teams for smooth interface management.
• ∙ Review and monitor MEP drawings, BOQs, specifications, and shop drawings.
• ∙ Ensure execution as per approved drawings, project schedule, and client specifications.
• ∙ Conduct site inspections and monitor daily progress of MEP works.

Mechanical Systems

• ∙ Supervise HVAC, ventilation, firefighting, smoke extraction, pumps, and water supply systems.
• ∙ Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.

Electrical Systems

• ∙ Manage HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, panels, lighting, earthing, UPS, and power distribution systems.
• ∙ Coordinate electrical load requirements and ensure compliance with statutory standards.

Plumbing & Firefighting

• ∙ Supervise plumbing, drainage, sewage, and firefighting installations.
• ∙ Ensure adherence to NBC, railway, and local authority standards.

Planning & Monitoring

• ∙ Prepare project schedules and resource plans for MEP activities.
• ∙ Track progress against baseline schedules and take corrective actions where required.
• ∙ Coordinate procurement and material approvals with vendors and consultants.

Testing & Commissioning

• ∙ Lead testing & commissioning activities for all MEP systems.
• ∙ Prepare commissioning reports, checklists, and handover documentation.

Quality & Safety

• ∙ Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and safety standards.
• ∙ Conduct inspections and resolve technical/non-conformance issues.
• ∙ Support implementation of EHS requirements at site.

Stakeholder Management

• ∙ Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and railway authorities.
• ∙ Attend project review meetings and provide progress updates.

Required Qualifications

• ∙ Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• ∙ 7–10 years of experience in MEP execution for railway stations, metro stations, airports, or large commercial/infrastructure projects.
• ∙ Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, firefighting, and statutory standards.
• ∙ Experience in testing & commissioning activities.
• ∙ Familiarity with railway/metro project specifications and safety standards preferred.

Job Summary

Responsible for execution, supervision, and coordination of MEP works including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems for railway station/infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• ∙ Supervise day-to-day MEP site activities as per approved drawings and specifications.
• ∙ Coordinate with civil, architectural, and other project teams for smooth execution.
• ∙ Monitor installation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• ∙ Ensure quality, safety, and timely completion of assigned works.
• ∙ Check material usage and coordinate with vendors/subcontractors.
• ∙ Prepare daily progress reports and site documentation.
• ∙ Assist in testing & commissioning of MEP systems.
• ∙ Ensure compliance with project standards and safety requirements.

Requirements

• ∙ BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• ∙ 2–5 years of experience in MEP execution for railway/metro/commercial/infrastructure projects.
• ∙ Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems.
• ∙ Ability to read drawings and coordinate site activities.
• ∙ Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office preferred.

Reporting To

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
