MEP Modular Support Design Engineer

We are looking for an engineer who can independently review coordinated MEP shop drawings, extract service details and loads, and design modular support frames with structural calculations. The role covers design, fabrication drawings, material schedules and installation details for prefabricated multi-service support systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Review AutoCAD/Revit shop drawings for HVAC ducts, chilled-water pipes, plumbing, firefighting pipes, cable trays and other MEP services.

* Extract service sizes, routes, elevations, spacing, operating weights, insulation weights and maintenance requirements.

* Develop modular support arrangements, including trapeze hangers, multi-tier frames, floor-mounted frames and service corridor modules.

* Calculate loads, load combinations, bending, shear, deflection, buckling and frame stability, as applicable.

* Design and check channels, beams, threaded rods, brackets, connections, base plates and anchors.

* Assess bracing, thermal movement, vibration and seismic requirements where applicable.

* Select suitable proprietary support components or fabricated steel sections based on project specifications.

* Prepare calculation reports showing design assumptions, load inputs, member checks, connection checks and anchor checks.

* Produce coordinated layouts, fabrication and assembly drawings, cut lists, bills of materials and labelled installation details.

* Coordinate with BIM, site, procurement and fabrication teams, and address consultant comments until approval.

Software Skills

* AutoCAD and Revit; Navisworks for coordination.

* Structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, RFEM or equivalent.

* Support-system and anchor-design software appropriate to the selected manufacturer.

* Excel for clear, traceable engineering calculations.

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• MEP: 3 years (Preferred)
