MEP Project Engineer

Role Description The MEP Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems within interior fit-out projects. Daily activities include reviewing design drawings, preparing MEP layouts, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. The role involves coordinating with designers, contractors, and suppliers, managing site inspections, and resolving technical issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget. The MEP Project Engineer will also monitor installation quality, prepare project documentation and reports, support testing and commissioning, and contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering skills, including integration of building services within interior fit-out projects.
• Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills related to design review, load calculations, and system selection.
• Candidates should possess Plumbing system design and coordination skills, including layout planning and compliance with local regulations.
• Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including scheduling, resource coordination, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline; professional certifications in MEP or project management are an advantage.
• Experience in interior fit-out or construction projects in the UAE, with familiarity of local codes and authority requirements (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DEWA, etc.).
• Proficiency in relevant design and coordination tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar), and strong technical report-writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work on-site, manage multiple tasks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
