MEP Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to join our team at a leading Early Childhood & K-12 Education group in Mumbai. The primary responsibility of this role is to evaluate the design of various MEP systems across multiple campuses, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality benchmarks. The MEP Project Manager will be tasked with identifying, evaluating, and pre-qualifying MEP consultants and contractors for design, build, and servicing projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of tender clauses, BOQ specifications, and drawing details provided by architects and consultants, as well as the ability to issue clarifications and highlight errors. Key responsibilities include visiting construction sites during project execution, supervising the electro-mechanical scope, and preparing snag lists to address quality issues. The MEP Project Manager will also be responsible for preparing detailed schedules and sequences for the MEP scope of each project, supervising testing and commissioning, and ensuring proper documentation of all MEP systems. Additionally, the role involves planning visits to campuses to review electrical safety standards, mapping MEP infrastructure for standardization, and implementing energy-saving measures. The ideal candidate will have a B. Tech or B.E. in Electrical Engineering, with a preferred course in Electrical Audits, Safety, and Quality. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field is required, with a strong background in cost budgeting, contracts, and coordinating with design consultants. Candidates should possess sound technical knowledge of design, planning, and execution of MEP projects, along with problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project scheduling, and MS Office is essential.
