MEP QA/QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Inspect and monitor MEP installation works at the construction site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards.
2. Review and verify MEP shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
3. Conduct inspections of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, electrical, and other MEP systems in accordance with project requirements.
4. Prepare, review, and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) and coordinate inspections with the consultant and client representatives.
5. Ensure that all materials delivered to the site comply with approved material submittals and project specifications.
6. Monitor and verify the implementation of approved method statements and quality control procedures during installation activities.
7. Identify non-conformities, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective and preventive actions until closure.
8. Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, test reports, checklists, and relevant project documentation.
9. Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues.
10. Witness and monitor testing and commissioning activities for MEP systems, ensuring that all required tests are completed and documented.
11. Verify that pressure tests, leakage tests, insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, and other applicable inspections are conducted according to approved procedures.
12. Monitor the quality of ongoing works and identify potential defects or deviations before they affect subsequent construction activities.
13. Ensure that corrective actions are implemented and that completed works meet the required quality standards before handover.
14. Participate in internal quality audits, site quality meetings, and project quality reviews.
15. Prepare and maintain project quality documentation, including quality reports, inspection logs, NCR logs, and testing records.
16. Support the preparation of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance documentation, and final quality dossiers for project handover.
