MEP Quantity Surveyor - Data Center Construction

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team, specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) for Data Center Buildings. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in cost estimation, budget management, and procurement activities throughout the lifecycle of construction projects.

Key Requirements:

• Must be bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects, with a focus on MEP for Data Center Buildings.

• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and construction processes.

• Proficient in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and budget management.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Experience with Quantity Surveying software (e.g., CostX, BuildSmart).

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Planswift, AutoCad and other relevant software tools.

• Relevant professional certifications in Quantity Surveying or related fields are advantageous.

• Experience in collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors.

• Ability to work within project timelines and budget constraints.

• Meticulous attention to detail in quantity take-offs and cost calculations.

• Ability to identify potential cost variations and mitigate risks.

Job Description:

• Prepare detailed and accurate quantity take-offs for MEP components.

• Develop cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, and overhead costs.

• Collaborate with project teams to establish and manage project budgets.

• Prepare tender documents to client, including bills of quantities and specifications.

• Monitor compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

• Analyze project costs and propose cost-saving initiatives.

• Provide timely and accurate cost advice to support decision-making.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement in quantity surveying and cost management.

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
