Engineering & Maintenance Department – The University of Lahore

The University of Lahore is seeking a MEP Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and technical operations of a designated building/area. The position will be responsible for managing Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC/AC and general building maintenance, along with supervising a designated team of technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the maintenance and technical condition of the assigned building/area.
• Supervise and coordinate a designated team of MEP technicians and maintenance staff.
• Manage day-to-day electrical maintenance, including lighting, power outlets, distribution systems and other electrical issues.
• Oversee plumbing and water-supply maintenance, including leakage, drainage, sanitary fixtures and related systems.
• Coordinate AC/HVAC maintenance, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and rectification of cooling-related complaints.
• Monitor and ensure timely resolution of building maintenance issues, including civil, carpentry, painting, welding, glazing and other related works.
• Conduct regular inspections of the assigned building and identify maintenance requirements proactively.
• Assign jobs to technicians, monitor progress and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance activities are carried out effectively.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and technical complaints.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, complaints, work orders, materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with other departments and contractors where specialized maintenance work is required.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, work permits and departmental maintenance standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, functional and well-maintained environment for students, faculty and staff.

Qualification & Experience

• DAE (Electrical) or higher qualification in a relevant technical discipline.
• Relevant experience in MEP, building maintenance, facility maintenance or institutional maintenance.
• Experience in supervising technicians and managing maintenance activities will be preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, coordination and team-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced institutional environment and respond to emergency maintenance requirements.

Pay: Rs55,000.00 - Rs65,000.00 per month
