MEP Technical Bid Writer

Job Summary

The MEP Technical Bid Writer is responsible for preparing high-quality, technically accurate, and commercially competitive bid submissions for Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) projects. The role involves coordinating with estimating, design, operations, and project teams to develop compelling tender responses that demonstrate the company's technical capability, project experience, and value proposition.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and write technical bid submissions, prequalification questionnaires (PQQs), and tender documents for MEP projects.

· Review client tender requirements and ensure all submission criteria are fully addressed.

· Collaborate with estimators, project managers, engineers, and business development teams to gather technical information for bids.

· Develop method statements, project execution plans, technical narratives, and programme descriptions.

· Maintain and update bid libraries, case studies, CVs, project references, and standard response documents.

· Ensure submissions are compliant with client requirements, specifications, and company standards.

· Coordinate bid production activities, including document formatting, proofreading, and final submission.

· Highlight key project differentiators, innovation, sustainability initiatives, and value engineering proposals within submissions.

· Manage tender deadlines and maintain a bid pipeline tracker.

· Conduct post-tender reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future submissions.

· Support presentations, interviews, and client-facing proposal activities where required.

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

· Previous experience in bid writing, proposal writing, estimating or tender management within the MEP, construction, engineering or building services sector.

· Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction methodologies, and project delivery processes.

· Experience working with public and private sector tendering procedures.

· Knowledge of procurement routes, contract forms, and construction industry standards.

· Knowledge of European construction projects is preferred, but not essential.

Skills & Competencies

· Excellent technical and business writing skills.

· Strong attention to detail and document management capabilities.

· Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Strong organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

· Understanding of sustainability, health and safety, and quality management principles within construction projects.

Preferred Experience

· Experience within mechanical contracting, electrical contracting, building services or specialist MEP subcontracting environments.

· Familiarity with BIM, digital construction processes, and modern methods of construction.

· Experience with large-scale commercial, data centre, healthcare, pharmaceutical, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php70,000.00 per month
