MEPF ENGINEER

Job descriptionJob Summary:

The MEPF Engineer is responsible for the design review, planning, coordination, installation, and supervision of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems on-site. Ensures that all MEPF works are executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:1. Design & Planning

• Review and interpret MEPF plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with design consultants to resolve discrepancies and technical issues.
• Prepare shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Ensure all systems comply with local codes, standards, and regulations.

2. Site Supervision

• Monitor and supervise daily MEPF installation works.
• Ensure proper execution of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Conduct inspections to verify work quality and compliance with approved drawings.
• Coordinate with civil/structural teams to avoid conflicts and delays.

3. Coordination

• Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines.
• Attend coordination meetings and provide technical inputs.
• Ensure proper integration of all MEPF systems within the project.

4. Quality Control

• Implement QA/QC procedures for MEPF works.
• Conduct testing and commissioning of systems.
• Identify defects and ensure timely rectification.
• Maintain documentation such as inspection reports and checklists.

5. Safety Compliance

• Ensure all MEPF activities comply with safety standards and site regulations.
• Coordinate with Safety Officers to minimize risks during installation.
• Enforce proper use of PPE and safe work practices.

6. Project Monitoring

• Track progress of MEPF works against project schedule.
• Assist in preparing progress reports and billing accomplishments.
• Identify potential delays and recommend corrective actions.

7. Testing & Commissioning

• Oversee testing, balancing, and commissioning of all systems.
• Ensure systems are fully operational and meet performance requirements.
• Prepare as-built drawings and turnover documents.
