MEPFS ENGINEER

The MEFPS Engineer is responsible for the design, coordination, review, and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, and Plumbing systems for building and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that all MEFPS systems comply with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and safety requirements while promoting efficiency, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, review, and coordinate MEFPS systems, including HVAC, electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and fire protection systems, water supply, drainage, and plumbing.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical drawings, specifications, material submittals, and technical reports.
• Review plans and shop drawings to identify potential conflicts, discrepancies, and constructability issues.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor MEFPS installations to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Assist in value engineering, cost estimation, material selection, and system optimization to achieve efficient and cost-effective solutions.
• Liaise and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities.
• Maintain proper documentation of technical reviews, site observations, design revisions, and project correspondence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant professional license or certification is an advantage.
• Proven experience in MEFPS design, coordination, construction, and/or site supervision.
• Strong knowledge of applicable MEFPS codes, standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in design and coordination tools (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, BIM tools preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Good communication and coordination skills
