ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced MEPFS Revit Drafter based in the Philippines to provide high-quality building services modelling, drafting, and documentation support to our Australian Building Services Engineering team.

Working remotely, you will build and document Revit MEP models with a primary focus on mechanical (HVAC) services, and support hydraulics, electrical, and fire protection work as required. All work is delivered in accordance with Australian Standards, company drafting standards, and project specifications under the direction and review of Australian-based Engineers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Modelling, Drafting & Documentation

• Develop and maintain coordinated Revit MEP models, primarily for HVAC and supporting hydraulics, electrical, and fire protection as required, in line with engineer mark-ups and design intent.

• Create and manage Revit families, view templates, sheets, and schedules in accordance with company BIM and drafting standards.

• Prepare, develop, and revise detailed construction documentation including plans, sections, schematics, riser diagrams, details, and schedules.

• Coordinate MEP and fire services models with structural and architectural models, identifying clashes and raising them with engineers for resolution.

• Convert engineer sketches, mark-ups, and 2D CAD information into accurate Revit models and drawings.

• Assist engineers with equipment schedules, quantity take-offs, and supporting documentation as required.

Project Delivery

• Deliver allocated modelling and drafting tasks in line with agreed project milestones and budgets.

• Understand scope of works before commencing tasks to avoid rework.

• Raise technical, modelling, or documentation queries early to avoid delays.

• Accurately record timesheets and meet utilisation targets.

Quality & Compliance

• Follow company QA procedures, drafting standards, and documentation protocols.

• Ensure models, drawings, and documentation are accurate, coordinated, and complete prior to internal review.

• Maintain model integrity, including work sets, naming conventions, and version control, in line with project BIM requirements.

• Comply with company HSE, data security, and information management requirements.

Communication & Collaboration

• Maintain clear and proactive communication with the Australian manager and team members.

• Participate in coordination meetings as required.

• Respond promptly to feedback, review comments, mark-ups, and redlines.

• Contribute positively to team culture and knowledge sharing.

ROLE BOUNDARIES

• All modelling and drafting work is performed under the supervision of a Chartered/Registered Australian Engineer.

• This role does not involve engineering design decisions, issuing certified documentation, or providing independent engineering approval.

• No direct responsibility for client management, proposals, invoicing, or contract administration unless specifically delegated.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications

• Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related field (or equivalent demonstrated experience).

• Autodesk Revit certification is desirable but not essential.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Revit drafter or BIM technician in mechanical (HVAC) building services consultancy.

• Demonstrated experience producing mechanical (HVAC) construction documentation in Revit (mandatory).

• Experience producing hydraulics, electrical, or fire protection documentation is highly regarded, though not essential.

• Experience supporting Australian or international projects is highly regarded.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit MEP for building services modelling, family creation, and documentation.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and detail production.

• Strong working knowledge of HVAC drafting (mandatory): duct and pipe layouts, plant and equipment placement, and services coordination.

• Experience with Navisworks or similar tools for model coordination and clash detection is desirable.

• Knowledge of hydraulic drafting (cold water, hot water, sanitary, and stormwater) is desirable.

• Knowledge of electrical drafting (power distribution, lighting layouts, containment, and switchboard layouts) is desirable.

• Understanding of fire protection drafting (sprinkler, hydrant, detection) is desirable.

• Familiarity with Australian Standards and drafting conventions is desirable.
