This exciting internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the business operations of a professional sports team, contributing to our merchandise strategy and online fan experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inventory of existing merchandise stock, ensuring accurate records and organization.
• Analyze historical merchandise sales data (e.g., 2026 season) to identify trends, best-selling items, slow-moving products, and opportunities for growth.
• Assist in the research and development of new merchandise concepts and product lines for the upcoming 2027 season, considering fan preferences and market trends.
• Support the planning and execution of seasonal merchandise campaigns, including the holiday season, from concept to promotion.
• Assist with the day-to-day management and maintenance of the team's official online store, including product listings, inventory updates, and order fulfillment support.
• Research potential merchandise vendors, compare pricing, evaluate product quality, and assist in supplier relationship management.
• Contribute to strategies aimed at enhancing the online shopping experience and increasing e-commerce sales.
• Provide administrative support to the merchandise department as needed, including preparing reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, Fashion Merchandising, E-commerce, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and identify actionable insights.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, particularly in inventory management and data entry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential; experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) or inventory management systems is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with an understanding of retail trends and fan preferences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
