Merchandise Manager

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for Vendor Management, Pricing and Marketing, and Planning and Inventory Control. Drives the pricing, shelving, marketing and promotions of the category’s products in order to make them visible, accessible and appealing to customers as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directs the preparation of the annual action plans and discuss business plan with vendors to align with company's set target.
• Monitors and analyzes sales performance per category/ per department/ per supplier and recommends ways to further improve them.
• Knowledgeable of the products, customer needs, buying practices, sales goals and retail environment related to the merchandise category
• Responsible for negotiating prices, delivery and payment terms with vendors.
• Responsible for managing inventory and for effectively planning and forecasting in order to maximize the profitability of the inventory and minimize aging products;
• Establish direction in line with set corporate objectives. Coordinate merchandising requirements with Top Management and/ or either Division Heads.
• Conducts regular visits to all existing store branches. Audit category/ promotion implementations/ inventory management.
• Conducts market analysis to identify latest trends and understand specific market niches.
