Merchandise Manager

OnDeck Partners is looking for a Merchandise Manager for the Visalia Rawhide at Valley Strong Ballpark. This role will a focus on planning, developing, and executing all retail and merchandise operations during the minor league baseball season plus other non-baseball events. This role will oversee e-commerce, inventory, and product placement at the Valley Strong Ballpark team store to drive revenue and strengthen the Rawhide’s brand identity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, develop, and grow the Rawhide team store website.

o Oversee the Rawhide’s e-commerce platform to ensure accurate product listings, inventory levels, photos, and descriptions
o Process, fulfill, and execute all internet orders.

• Plan, implement, and oversee retail operations during Rawhide home baseball games including designing the store and kiosk layout, managing inventory, signage, and running daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Understand and execute the team store’s point-of-sale system.
• Re-stock team store on gamedays and non-gamedays.
• Set up and manage portable retail on game days (if applicable).
• Prepare gameday lucky number scorecards for sales.
• Assist with supervising seasonal and part-time gameday merchandise employees.
• Maintain the store presentation (I.e. general upkeep, sweeping, mopping, dusting)

Required Skills

• 2+ years of retail merchandise experience.
• History of cash handling preferred.
• Proficiency with e-commerce platforms (preferably Shopify).
• Proficiency with retail point-of-sale inventory system.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret sales and trend data.
• Ability to lift and move boxes and merchandise up to 50 lbs.

Duration

• Seasonal position: February/March through mid/late September
