Merchandise Manager (Fresh Category)

• Develop and implement merchandising strategies for the Poultry category.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, pricing, and purchasing activities.
• Monitor product assortment, inventory levels, sales performance, and margins.
• Ensure consistent product quality, availability, and compliance with company standards.
• Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
• Coordinate with suppliers, Operations, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure smooth product flow.
• Monitor category performance and recommend initiatives to drive sales and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and company requirements.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in merchandising, category management, or purchasing, preferably in the retail, grocery, or food industry.
• Strong knowledge of the Poultry category, including products, pricing, suppliers, quality, and market trends.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiation, sourcing, pricing, and inventory management.
• Strong analytical and business acumen with the ability to interpret sales, margin, and market data.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with merchandising or inventory management systems.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple priorities.
