Merchandise Planner

Merchandise Planner (Australian fashion brand, full time, remote)

Pay: US$300 per week | 40 hrs/week | Mon to Fri, Sydney business hours (about 6am to 2pm PH time)

A growing Australian womenswear brand, selling through ecommerce, wholesale and marketplaces, is looking for a Merchandise Planner to look after its stock numbers and help the team decide what to buy, reorder and mark down.

You'll start by working alongside an experienced merchandise consultant to set up the brand's planning processes, documents and Excel tools. Once they're in place, you'll run them yourself. The brand needs someone who can work independently: you'll keep the plans up to date, spot issues early and bring recommendations to the team without being chased.

What you'll do

• Set up the planning process with our merchandise consultant, including templates, documented steps and Excel planning sheets

• Update the monthly stock, sales and inventory plans and the open-to-buy budget, then keep them running week to week

• Send a weekly trading report covering sales against plan, sell-through, best and worst sellers, and weeks cover

• Recommend reorders and markdowns with clear reasons, and keep stock data clean between Shopify, NetSuite and spreadsheets

About you

• At least 2 years of merchandise planning or allocation experience in retail or fashion

• Comfortable working independently and owning a weekly and monthly planning rhythm

• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP and SUMIFS

• A good grasp of sell-through, weeks cover and margin

• Clear written English

• A reliable computer, a stable internet connection and a quiet place to work

Nice to have

• NetSuite ERP experience

• Womenswear or DTC fashion experience

• Power BI or Looker Studio
