About the role

We are seeking an experienced Merchandiser to join FLEN INTERNATIONAL TRADING CO., LIMITED on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our Retail & Consumer Products division, based in Mong Kok, Yau Tsim Mong District. As a Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in maximising sales and profitability by managing product placement, inventory levels, and promotional displays across our retail locations. Your expertise will directly influence customer purchasing decisions and contribute significantly to our commercial objectives and brand visibility in the marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse sales data and consumer trends to identify opportunities for product optimisation and category growth
• Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies that enhance product visibility and drive sales performance
• Manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability whilst minimising excess inventory and markdowns
• Design and execute eye-catching product displays and promotional layouts that align with brand guidelines and seasonal campaigns
• Conduct regular store visits to monitor product placement, shelf space allocation, and compliance with merchandising standards
• Collaborate with retail teams, marketing, and supply chain departments to coordinate product launches and promotional activities
• Track and report on key performance indicators including sales metrics, inventory turnover, and promotional effectiveness
• Identify underperforming products and recommend strategies for improvement or discontinuation
• Maintain strong relationships with retail partners and provide support in addressing merchandising challenges

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Merchandiser or in a similar retail merchandising role, preferably within the consumer products sector
• Strong understanding of retail operations, point-of-sale systems, and inventory management practices
• Demonstrated ability to analyse sales data and translate insights into actionable merchandising strategies
• Excellent visual merchandising skills with an eye for product presentation and consumer appeal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and retail management software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and retail partners
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects whilst meeting tight deadlines
• Knowledge of local retail market trends and consumer behaviour in Hong Kong
• Flexible approach to work with the ability to travel between retail locations as required
• Degree or diploma in Retail Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field is advantageous
