Merchandiser

1. Order Management & Coordination

• Handle customer inquiries and convert them into confirmed orders.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth order execution.
• Prepare and maintain order sheets, purchase orders, and production plans.
• Monitor order status from development to final shipment.
• Ensure timely communication with customers regarding order progress.

2. Product Development

• Coordinate product sampling and development activities.
• Follow up on sample approvals and customer feedback.
• Work closely with design, production, and sourcing teams for new product development.
• Ensure product specifications are accurately communicated to all stakeholders.

3. Vendor & Supplier Management

• Identify and coordinate with vendors and suppliers for raw materials and accessories.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
• Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain healthy relationships with suppliers and business partners.

4. Production Planning & Follow-up

• Coordinate with production teams to ensure adherence to production schedules.
• Track daily production status and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Ensure production targets are achieved as per customer commitments.
• Monitor material availability to avoid production delays.

5. Costing & Commercial Activities

• Prepare product costing and price quotations.
• Analyze costs and suggest cost-optimization opportunities.
• Ensure profitability while meeting customer expectations.
• Assist management in budgeting and pricing decisions.

6. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Coordinate with quality teams to ensure products meet required standards.
• Monitor quality inspections during production and pre-dispatch stages.
• Address quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company and customer quality requirements.

7. Inventory & Material Coordination

• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and accessories.
• Coordinate procurement activities to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Maintain records of material consumption and stock availability.
• Minimize excess inventory and wastage.

8. Logistics & Shipment Coordination

• Coordinate with logistics partners for dispatch and delivery.
• Ensure shipment documentation is prepared accurately and on time.
• Track shipments and update customers regarding delivery schedules.
• Resolve transportation and delivery-related issues.

9. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of orders, samples, production status, and shipments.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management review.
• Ensure proper filing of customer communications and commercial documents.
• Prepare MIS reports related to merchandising activities.

10. Customer Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Address customer concerns and provide timely resolutions.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and account growth.
