Merchandiser

About the role

This role involves communicating with overseas clients to understand product requirements and confirm accurate order details, and liaising between customers, factories/suppliers and testing labs across sample development, costing, order confirmation, production, inspection and shipment.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with overseas clients to understand product requirements and confirm accurate order details
• Liaise between customers, factories/suppliers and testing labs across sample development, costing, order confirmation, production, inspection and shipment
• Monitor production progress and quality control to ensure on-time shipment; identify and resolve issues with factories at an early stage
• Review and follow up on product, packaging and instruction manual artwork approval with clients and factories
• Prepare and update purchase orders (PO), proforma invoices (PI), shipping schedules and related documents in our system
• Assist with order management, reporting and general administrative work

About you

• Minimum 5 years of merchandising / order coordination experience in a trading company, buying office or manufacturer
• Experience in product, packaging and instruction manual artwork approval is preferred
• Fluent in written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin; strong English is essential for daily client communication
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and ERP systems
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with confidence in dealing with overseas clients and factory teams
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Willing to travel to Mainland China when required
• Higher Diploma or above
