About the role

PT Gistex Garmen Indonesia is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Merchandiser Garment to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in Bandung Regency, West Java, where you will play a crucial role in managing the entire merchandising lifecycle of our garment products. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for coordinating between design, production, and sales teams to ensure that our products meet market demands, quality standards, and delivery schedules. This position is integral to our operations, directly influencing our product success and customer satisfaction in the competitive retail and consumer products industry.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive merchandise plans aligned with seasonal trends, market demands, and company sales targets
• Coordinate with design and production teams to ensure product specifications, quality standards, and timelines are met
• Manage product costing, pricing strategies, and profit margins to optimise profitability across the garment range
• Monitor inventory levels and implement effective stock management practices to minimise wastage and overstock situations
• Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for product improvements and new merchandise lines
• Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure compliance with production schedules and quality requirements
• Prepare detailed merchandise reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders
• Liaise with the sales team to gather feedback on product performance and customer preferences
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the merchandising process

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a merchandiser in the garment or textile industry
• Strong knowledge of garment production processes, materials, and quality standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales and market data
• Outstanding organisational and project management abilities to handle multiple collections simultaneously
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with both internal teams and external partners
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
• Understanding of retail trends and consumer behaviour in the fashion and apparel sector
• Preferably experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software or similar tools
• Fluency in both Indonesian and English languages is advantageous
