Merchandiser/Butcher/Chicken Cutter

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Merchandiser/Butcher/Chicken Cutter to join the team at MKS Workforce Management Services Inc. This is a full-time position based in Pulilan, Bulacan. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation, processing, and merchandising of meat and poultry products to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will play a vital part in ensuring our customers receive premium products whilst maintaining strict hygiene and food safety protocols. This position is integral to our operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction and business success.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and butcher fresh meat products using professional cutting techniques and equipment, ensuring optimal yield and presentation
• Cut, debone, trim and portion chicken and other poultry products according to company specifications and customer requirements
• Maintain accurate weight records and pricing for all meat and poultry items processed
• Arrange and display meat and poultry products in refrigerated cases and storage areas in an organised and visually appealing manner
• Ensure all products are properly labelled with accurate pricing, weight and expiration dates
• Monitor stock levels and communicate inventory needs to management to maintain consistent product availability
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, including regular sanitisation of all tools, equipment and work surfaces
• Follow all food safety regulations and company policies to prevent contamination and ensure product quality
• Operate and maintain butchering equipment and tools safely and effectively
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and customer orders

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a butcher, meat cutter or chicken processor in a retail or commercial environment
• Proficiency in using butchering knives, cleavers and other meat processing equipment safely and effectively
• Strong knowledge of meat and poultry cuts, grades and quality standards
• Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations and proper handling procedures
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality and presentation
• Strong organisational and time management skills to meet production schedules
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and willingness to follow instructions from management
• Certificate or qualification in butchery or meat processing is preferred
• Knowledge of inventory management systems is advantageous
